An eSIM can only be used on one device at a time. But don’t worry — there is some flexibility, depending on whether the eSIM has already been activated.
- Not activated yet? If you’ve scanned the QR code but haven’t activated the eSIM yet (for example, data roaming is still turned off), you can simply delete the eSIM and scan the QR code again on another device.
- Already used and deleted? If you accidentally deleted the eSIM from the device where it was originally used, you can scan the QR code again and reinstall it on that same device.
- Important: Once an eSIM has been actively used, the QR code can no longer be transferred to a different device.
Using multiple devices at the same time? If you’d like to get a tablet, laptop, or second phone online while traveling, the easiest option is to use your smartphone’s hotspot / tethering feature. This allows you to share your data connection easily — without needing an additional eSIM or incurring extra costs.
