Error message "The change to the mobile phone tariff could not be completed"

The error message “Unable to complete cellular plan change” may appear when adding or switching an eSIM data plan. While this can seem concerning at first, it usually has a simple cause.

Please check the following steps one by one:

  1. Check your network connection
    A weak or unstable internet connection can prevent the plan from loading correctly. Make sure you have a stable connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) and are in an area with good network coverage.
  2. Make sure mobile data is enabled
    Check your device settings to ensure that cellular/mobile data is turned on. If mobile data is disabled, the cellular plan cannot be added or changed.
  3. Too many eSIM profiles stored
    Many devices can store only a limited number of eSIM profiles — even inactive ones count. Delete eSIMs you no longer need and try again.
  4. The eSIM may already be installed
    Sometimes this error appears even though the eSIM was successfully added. Check your mobile network settings to see if your eSIM from eSIMony is already listed and may simply need to be activated.
  5. Toggle airplane mode
    Turn airplane mode on for about 10 seconds, then turn it off again. This resets network connections and often resolves the issue immediately.
  6. Restart your device
    Restarting your smartphone can refresh internal system processes and clear blocked installations. In most cases, one of these steps will resolve the error. If the message still appears, the cause is usually a device-specific limitation or stored old profiles — and there is always a solution for that as well.
