iMessage stopped working after I installed my eSIM

If iMessage stops working after installing your eSIM from eSIMony, it’s usually caused by a setting and can be fixed quickly.

Please go through the following steps one by one:

  1. Check SIM settings
Make sure your original SIM card is still set as the default for calls and SMS, and that the eSIM from eSIMony is used only for mobile data. iMessage needs your original phone number to work properly.
  2. Check iMessage settings
On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Messages > Send & Receive Check that your phone number and, if applicable, your email address are enabled and correctly selected.
  3. Restart your device
A restart often helps reconnect your device to Apple’s servers and resolve minor configuration issues.
  4. Reset network settings (optional)
If iMessage still doesn’t work, you can reset the network settings: Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings This will reset Wi-Fi, mobile network, and APN settings (saved Wi-Fi passwords will be removed).
  5. Check your iOS version
Make sure your device is running the latest version of iOS, as outdated software can cause iMessage issues.

In most cases, iMessage works normally again after these steps — without changing your phone number and without any limitations caused by the eSIM.
